36"x18"x36". I stopped doing artwork for a while and went into the cabinet making trade. After about 3 years of woodworking I came back to SUNY and did an independent study in Fall 06. This is what I came up with. I did the metal burning after encasing the sheet steel in a 2"x6" Oak frame. The work will be on display in the 2007 Kingston Sculpture Biennial, at the Livingroom Gallery(45 N. Front St.) along with another of my sculptures and a set of drawings. The exhibition runs July 7th to late October.
Quarter sawn English White Oak, a lovely and hard to come by wood (the true British variety). This is a detail of the table that is ~42"x22"x18". Mortise and tenon joinery with oil then waxed finish.
